CBC LABORLAB - Developing an integrated and inclusive labor market at cross-border level

To support the CBC integration of employment and labor mobility as a common “market” through creating CBC LABORLAB Model.

Results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

Programme outputs: 23 types of initiatives that activate workforce mobility in the cross border area; 4720 participants in joint local employment initiatives and joint training

Programme results: 480 persons will have access to joint employment initiatives.

Project status

The project is finalized and the final report is submitted to MA.

-      A CBC LABORLAB Strategy for employment, labor and social integration of disadvantaged people,.,based on the data collected within the study elaborated for CBC structural analysis regarding future labor market evolutions was relalized.

-The Association “LABORLAB CLUSTER” was established and registered to the Calarasi Court in the Registry of Associations and Foundations.

- 4 job fairs organized at CBC level with more than 2400 participants (both job seekers and employers).

The 4 job fairs were organized by the 4 project partners, as follows:

-        LB: 22-25.03.2019 in Calarasi (618 persons

-        B2: 15-18.04.2019 in Drobeta Turnu Severin (628 persons)

-        B3: 09-12.04.2019 in Ruse(647 persons)

-        B4: 22-25.04.2019 in Vratsa (593 persons).

4 training programmes were organized by the 4 project partners, in the following fields: English language,   application of the principle of equality of chances in economic units, entrepreneurship and development of entrepreneurship skills and ITC.

1 web platform developed and it is available at the address https://www.laborlab.ro.

4 best practices events at CBC level organized and 8 awareness campaigns have been organized by the project beneficiaries.

EIMo (ROBG 140)

Building a sustainable model and partner network to support employment and labour mobility

What’s the goal?

To encourage the labour mobility in key economic sectors in the cross-border area through creating conditions for balance between demand and supply on the labour market.

593,492.79 EUR euro, out of which 504,468.87 euroERDF

How?                                                     

  • Identification of the key branches that can enable mobility of workforce, including creating long-term employment opportunities on both sides of the border;
  • Development of competence catalogues of the targeted enterprises in the CBC region with description of the main knowledge, skills and competences required by the employers for the job positions with potential for labour mobility;
  • Development of e-tools for competence assessment which will be identified and developed in compliance with the identified requirements for knowledge, skills and competence by the employers;
  • Conducting a survey for at least 300 representatives of the target group on employment opportunities and creating a personal profile in terms of their age, education and qualification;
  • Development of joint special e-training courses complied with the identified deficit of skills and competences among the target group.
  • Development of special language courses for mobility of employees and job seekers which would potentially increase their chances for finding work in the program area;
  • Provision of e-training for at least 300 representatives of the target group;
  • Provision of joint training courses for HR experts from both sides of the border, thus improving their knowledge and skills in hiring employees from the other side of the border.
  • Raise awareness on job opportunities throughout the border area;
  • Developing information and advice for cross-border commuters and potential employers by creating and developing joint databases in service of labour mobility
  • Information and publicity.

Results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

-          Programme outputs: 4 initiatives that activate workforce mobility in the cross border area; 400 participants in joint local employment initiatives and joint training

-          Programme results: 50.000 people will have access to joint employment initiatives.

Project status:

The project was finalised on 03.04.2019.

Results:

  • 5 economic sectors on both sides of the border with potential for labour mobility selected through a jointly applied methodology;
  • - Selecting 40 key positions in the selected economic sectors with identified potential for labour mobility;
  • 5 bilingual competence catalogues with a description of the required knowledge, skills and competencies for the selected 40 key positions developed, validated and approved in Romania and Bulgaria;
  • 1 trilingual internet portal . The modern design and the interactive screens allow easy and friendly access to the website resources - the CBC economic map, profiles of identified enterprises from both sides of the border with the potential to enable mobility of workforce from across the border, the competence catalogues, five e-tools for competency assessment, internet-based module for profiling unemployed and inactive persons, an e-learning platform (activity 8), an e-platform;
  • 2 press conferences were organized (Veliko Tarnovo and Constanta).

EasyGuide (ROBG-29)

Interactive mobile application for promoting the historical and cultural heritage in the region of Calarasi and Silistra

What’s the goal?

The project aims to promote the cross-border region of Calarasi and Silitra as a tourist destination by developing an integrated virtual tourist guide environment

927.792,47 euro, out of which 788.623,60 euro ERDF

How is it going to happen?                      

  • interactive tour guide environment (ITGE) promoting the regional historical and cultural heritage as touristic sites
  • a mobile application for the ITGE providing an innovative easily accessible product which will promote the region as touristic destination
  • digital displays – located at public places and popular sites promoting the regions’ sites of interest

What will be the results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

Programme outputs: 3 integrated tourism products/services created, 300 expected number of visits to supported sites of cultural and natural heritage and attraction (COI), 1 management plan for valorising (including raising awareness) the cultural and natural heritage through its restoration and promotion for sustainable economic uses

Programme results: 150.000 tourist overnights over the next five years

Project status

The project is finalized.

Results:

- 1 mobile application for EasyGuide-Silistra-Calarasi,available for both IOS and Google Store in BG, RO and EN. The mobile application provides information with regard to 35 objects selected in the project to be promoted, out of which 20 on the Bulgarian side and 15 on the Romanian side; 

- 1 project web portal:www.easyguide-portal.com;

- 35 info kiosks installed near landmarks and central public sites;

-1 management plan describing the main results of the project, especially providing information with regard to the 35 selected objects.
