Joint initiatives and solutions in addressing emergency situations in the cross border area

To improve joint risk management in the cross-border area by purchasing specific vehicles, machinery and equipment and raising awareness regarding emergency situations.

How is it going to happen?                      

  • Building an early warning system and purchasing of specific intervention machineries and equipment
  • Joint actions to raise awareness to the target groups regarding prevention and management risk in the cross-border area

  • Creating and publication of a joint study on joint risk management
  • Organizing press conferences, creating and distributing information and publicity materials

What will be the results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

Programme outputs: at least 5000 people benefiting from flood protection measures; at least 5000 people benefiting from forest fire protection measures; 117,353 people benefiting from actions of risk management; 1 long-term joint partnership in the field of joint early warning and emergency response in the cross-border area.

Project status

The project implementation ended on 01.02.2020 but the final report is still not submitted to JS.

Municipality of Drobeta Turnu Severin has signed the main contracts, information and publicity materials have been realised, the first conference of the project was held, office equipment have been procured, the project design has been realised, permits and construction authorisation have been achieved, 3 seminars on emergency situations raising awareness and 24 campaigns in schools were realised.

LB purchased all equipment foreseen in the project (the most important equipment purchased: 2 utility vans, 2 trucks and a Snow blade backhoe).The acquisition for electronic sirens, alarm plant and works for installation was finalized and the contract was signed. The sirens were delivered and installed.

B2 signed the contract for supply of equipment. All items included in the contract were delivered (Machine for crushing of wood type trailer with its own engine and hydraulic rotor drive, attachments for crushing branches, tractor, sledge-car, off-fire with a small volume).

Living human treasures(ROBG- 358)

What’s the goal?

The overall objective of the project is to promote local authentic culture in the field of authentic dances, singing and traditional cuisine in the cross-border area.

What’s the budget?

499,366.01 euro, out of which 424,461.10 euro ERDF

Target at the half of the implementation period:

48,481 euro for LB, 19,500 euro for B2 and 25,686 euro for B3.

Results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

Programme outputs: 2 integrated tourism products, 1 common management plan for valorising the cultural heritage

Programme results: 2,000 tourist overnights in the CBC region.

Project status

The project implementation was finalized in January 2020. The final implementation report is yet to be submitted (deadline for submission in June 2020).

The most active and attractive holders of authentic culture in the 3 categories (dances, songs and cuisine) to take part in trainings, traveling festivals and cross-border fair later on in the project implementation were selected.

The project beneficiaries prepared the joint cross-border management plan for valorisation of authentic culture. 3 offers centered around existing cultural events were developed and presented via e-mail to tour operators for development of “ready for use” tourism products.

All three cross-border trainings in dancing, singing and gastronomy were organised in Montana, Vidin and Craiova. Authentic folklore costumes were handed over to the selected target group for their participation in the travelling festivals and Nationwide cross-border fair for authentic folklore.

The partner representatives and 7 dancers of Dancing club of village Barzia took part in the International cultural tourism fair in Veliko Tarnovo in period 18-20.04.2019 as part of the fair’s accompanying programme.

Your Health Matters! Modernization of the hospitals in Zimnicea and Svishtov

What’s the goal?                                              

To improve the efficiency of health services and the collaboration between health care providers at the level of communities from Zimnicea and Svishtov.

  • Organizing press 2 conferences (60 participants/conference) during the project implementation period (project launching conference – year 1 in Romania, 1 final conference during year 2 in Romania);

  • Publicity materials (roll-up, flyer, outdoor banners, folders)

Results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

Programme outputs:

- 1 supported cross border mechanism to enhance cooperation capacity – development of the existing cooperation between the 2 beneficiaries through: strengthening theirs capacity to provide health care services and the exchange of experience between health care employees;

Programme results: increased level of co-ordination of the public institutions in the eligible area – the cooperation between the 2 beneficiaries will be strengthen through the project activities. The exchange of experience activity will focus on cross border healthcare cooperation for a better provision of healthcare, in terms of efficiency, adaptability with a comparable quality.

Project status

The project ended on 12.04.2019.

The Lead Beneficiary finalized the modernization of the Hospital in Zimnicea throughout endowment of the medical section of the hospital (equipment such as: General anaesthesia machine, Portable medical aspirator, Medical aspirator-vacuum, Medical couch, Wheelchair for sick people, Oxygen concentrator, Defibrillator, Medical cabinet for emergency device, Electrocardiograph, Injectomat, Scialitic lamp, Operating table, Vital signs monitor, Negatoscope, Oscillometer, Spirometer, Mobile stretcher, Mobile drug cabinet, Major basic surgery kit, Minor basic surgery kit, Hematology analyser, Auto kerato-refractometer, Digital bio microscope, Laboratory centrifuge, Colposcope, Electrocautery, Sterilization hot air oven, etc.

Two actions for exchange of experience and good practices have been realized during the project implementation in order to ensure the premises for strengthening the cross-border cooperation between the 2 beneficiaries in health care area and will focus on cross border healthcare cooperation for a better provision of healthcare, in terms of efficiency, adaptability with a comparable quality.

B2 has finalized the works for modernization of the hospital in Svishtov providing necessary framework for raising the services quality that are provided by the Svishtov hospital to local community. Also, B2 has purchased specific medical equipment for endowment of the modernized infrastructure, namely: one Computer tomography, and one Ambulance type C.

NATBIOT (ROBG–356)

Networking for natural heritage and resources

Project status:

The project is finalized.

Results:

- The joint Study on the Natural and Cultural Heritage in the Cross-border area of Dolj, Olt, Mededinti (RO) - Vidin, Montana, Vratsa and Pleven (BG) was elaborated, translated in English and Bulgarian languages. The joint study elaborated has been printed, as a brochure, in Bulgarian and English languages and was distributed during the raising awareness regarding the advantage of services using specific natural resources and bio products, available also on the project website www.natbiot-travelling.eu. 4 packages in eco-tourism has been identified;

- 1 smartphone application “Natbio travelling” was elaborated and is available for both IOS and Google Play in RO, BG and EN and can be downloaded from the project website;

- 1 project website was elaborated, available at www.natbiot-travelling.eu;

- 2 joint strategies were elaborated, namely marketing strategy for eco-bio products and joint strategy for increasing the quality of eco-bio products.
