Valorisation of authentic culture for cross-border tourism
(ROBG–13)
What’s the goal?
To discover and promote the authentic culture in the CBC area of Vidin and Montana districts and Dolj county and to create a new tourism product by using the cultural heritage of the target region.

- Promotion of the created tourism products

- Participation at 4 tourism fairs.

Project status
The following results were achieved: - Studies for the authentic culture in Vidin district, Montana District and Dolj County were developed and 70 short movies were shot for each region. All these materials are available on the project web site at http://robgtraditions.com - A voting campaign was held after a promoting campaign through posters and flyers; tv and radio spots were broadcasted; newspapers publications; - Three “Festival of authentic culture” were organized: in Vidin during the period 17-19.05.2017 with 241 participants; in Craiova during the period 21-23.06.2017 with 265 participants; in Montana during the period of 25-27.04.2017 with 190 participants. - Three “Trainings for valorization of culture into tourism products” were held: in Falkovets during the period of 06-09.03.2017 with 53 participants; in Craiova during the period of 29.05.-01.06.2017 with 59 participants; in Montana during the period 20-23.02.2017 with 54 participants. - Info tour for valorization of authentic culture was organized during the period 05-11.06.2017 in Bulgaria and Romania with 40 participants; - Information and promotion actions were performed including 3 press-conferences for launching the project, 3 press-conferences for the end of the project, promotional materials as a 50-minute film for the authentic culture of Vidin-Montana-Dolj region, catalogue A4, 100 pages with pictures and information for authentic culture of Vidin-Montana-Dolj region, roll-ups, radio spots, etc.; - The project was presented on the biggest tourism fairs in Bulgaria and Romania which took place in Sofia and Bucharest. Cross Border virtual incubator for promoting employment on bio agriculture, bio products processing and connected services

- Integrated business oriented campaign for promotion of employment and entrepreneurship opportunities on bio agriculture, bio products processing and connected services on Dolj and Pleven:
- Elaboration and dissemination through informative sessions in Dolj and Pleven
- Promotional documentary film of successful stories on subject in the CB area;
- Creation of online Business and Mobility tools tailored to the specific needs of job seekers and entrepreneurs in the DJ-Pleven CB area;
- Training sessions on bio agriculture dedicated to students and graduated specialists in agriculture;
- Training sessions on bio agriculture dedicated to rural citizens or unemployed from urban area;
- Entrepreneurial training course;
- Consultancy for certification on bio-agriculture products:
1. Soil sampling analysis for 100 farmers, Romanian and Bulgarian;
2. Vocational Training session for organic inspectors;
3. Creation of a system of information “Help Desk”;
- Integrated measures for Bio products Marketing:
1 On line bio product show case for marketing of bio products within BIOVIRTINC;
2. Training course for sales agent on bio products;
3. Consumer awareness and education on bio products;
- A common strategy and action plan for job creation and cross-border mobility by developing business on bio agriculture, bio products processing and connected services;
- Elaboration of information and publicity materials.
Results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?
Programme outputs:
- 28 initiatives that activate workforce mobility in the cross border area;
- 700 participants in joint local employment initiatives and joint training;
- 100 participants in joint educational and training schemes to support youth employment, educational opportunities and higher and vocational education across borders
Programme results: population that have access to joint employment initiatives – 151,099 people from Dolj - Pleven.
Project status
The project was finalized on 18.12.2018.

- 12 training sessions on bio agriculture;
- 8 counselling sessions;

Community Opposition of Disastrous Events
What’s the goal?
To increase local capacity in rural areas of Romania-Bulgaria border region (regions of Dolj in Romania, Vidin and Montana in Bulgaria) for disasters’ prevention and mitigation trough development of extended volunteer units and their better preparation, including in a cross-border context.

- increasing the number of specialists on site, prepared for action in case of disaster;
- contribution to the skills of local authorities to manage people in times of emergency;
- improved joint risk management in the cross-border area.

Main results achieved during the implementation of the project:

1 joint evaluation of needs and opportunities for better preparation of volunteer resources implemented;
1 joint methodology for education of volunteers and other relevant experts developed;
800 volunteers from volunteer units trained and prepared for (joint) actions;
120 administrations officers prepared for risk management;
160 relevant local experts involved as an additional resource and educated;
20 local communities better prepared for disaster events’ opposition;
