To offer the solution to the tourist retention problem, by improving the sustainable use of natural heritage and cultural heritage and by better promoting the tourism attractions and activities in the cross-border area.

How is it going to happen?
- Organizing 2 press conferences;
- Preparing and disseminating printed information and promotion materials (flyers, roll-up, CBC Audio Travel Guide booklet and stickers/plates);
- Comparative study;
- Planning and implementing the online promotion of the project;
- Developing a project website;
- Online promotion campaign;
- Media campaigns;
- Organizing 6 information seminars;
- Organizing documentation and information visits;
- Organizing 3 validation seminars by each project partner;
- Developing an audio travel guide and putting it into service.
What will be the results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?
Programme outputs:
- 5 integrated tourism products created (focus on 5 types of tourism: cultural religious, entertainment, sports and health tourism);
- 1 audio travel guide service created;
- an increase in expected number of visits with 500 to supported sites of cultural and natural heritage and attraction.
Programme results: 32.400 overnights increase in the CBC region by 2018.
Project status
The main deliverables were finalized, the project website https://audiotravelguide.ro/en/ guide and the mobile application (travel guide): www.audiotravelguide.eu. 720 touristic objectives in Romania and 297 touristic objectives are now presented on the internet and the mobile application (including GPS, audio and written version).

Programme outputs: increase with 5 % of the number of visits to natural and cultural attractions in the area, 1 integrated tourist product, 1 common touristic marketing study valorizing the cultural and natural heritage through its restoration and promotion for sustainable economic uses
Programme results: increase with 3500 of tourists’ overnights in the area
Project status
The project is finalized.
The main achievements of the project are:
- 10 team meetings held;
- 1 Touristic Marketing Study developed;
- 1 project website: http://mehedinti-vidin.ro/en/;
- 1 travel guide Mehedinti – Vidin (available on the project website);
- 4000 Travel guides printed;
- 4000 Touristic maps printed;
- 6 films produced, (the movies are broadcasted on the project website: http://mehedinti-vidin.ro/en/media/video/);
- 6 touristic routes created;
- 16 information seminars held;
- 6 handicraft workshops held;
- 1 Creation festival field;
- the project was presented at 6 tourism fairs.
