Very interesting study on the assessment of selective waste collection schemes in the Member States

We are pleased to inform you about the recent publication of a very interesting study on the assessment of selective waste collection schemes in the Member States: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/waste/index.htm

Turning waste into a resource is key to a circular economy and also helps reduce health and environmental problems, greenhouse gas emissions, and avoid negative impacts at local level such as landscape deterioration due to landfilling, local water and air pollution, as well as littering.

Since 2012, local authorities are obliged to ensure separate collection of paper, plastic, bottles, metal and biodegradable waste.

"Let's be wise with waste" and give Earth a hand !
