European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018

2018 is the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH). The aim of the European Year of Cultural Heritage is to encourage more people to discover and engage with Europe's cultural heritage, and to reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space. The slogan for the year is: Our heritage: where the past meets the future.

The initiative is a prime opportunity to give visibility to Interreg projects that successfully valued cultural heritage, promoted growth and jobs of cultural and creative industries, used innovative digital solutions like virtual reality to make culture more attractive, projects that developed innovative solutions for preserving heritage and used culture as a means to unite communities and integrate minorities.

Any relevant Interreg projects related to cultural heritage are encouraged to participate in the initiative in the website of DG EAC under the link: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/RequestLabelEYCH2018 - those projects will be promoted throughout the year and gain visibility.
