Every year, on June 29, we celebrate one of the most important natural treasures in Europe, the Danube. The celebration commemorates the signing in 1994 in Sofia, of the Danube River Protection Convention.

Being one of the most important natural treasures in Europe, the Danube Day represents an opportunity for the nations benefiting of the Danube course to strengthen their solidarity, despite the cultural and historical differences, having in common the same desire, namely the responsibility to protect this precious resource.
