ROBG-179 HIRED “Heightened Information and Resources for Employability Development”

To provide sustainable and research-informed instruments for enhancing employability and work mobility in the CBA.

474,549.10 euro, out of which 403,366.73 ERDF

Target at the half of the implementation period: 126,416 euro for Lead Beneficiary and 46,017 euro for Beneficiary 2; 51,568 euro for Beneficiary 3 and 74,979 euro for Beneficiary 4.

How is it going to happen?

  • Organizing 3 training programs giving qualifications in the area of business and administration (entrepreneurship, sales, and project management) - 12 training sessions: 6 in Călărași (2 on entrepreneurship, 2 on project management and 2 on sales) and 6 in Silistra (2 on entrepreneurship, 2 on project management and 2 on sales);
  • Developing and maintaining a web platform;
  • Developing Ro and Bg language courses with textual, video and audio materials to support independent study;
  • Organizing 2 conferences, one on each side of the border;
  • Organizing 2 job and education fairs, one in Silistra and one in Călărași;
  • Developing the brand and communication plan for the online platform;
  • Promoting the online platform through Google AdWords and Facebook Ads;
  • Raising awareness about the projects’ educational programs and services through: brochures, leaflets, posters, roll-up banners, outdoor banner.

What will be the results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

Programme outputs:

- 4 initiatives that activate workforce mobility in the cross border area: 1 education scheme + 1 website + 2 job fairs;

- 300 participants in joint local employment initiatives and joint training;

Programme results: population that have access to joint employment initiatives – 5,500 persons: 300 participants in training programmes; 200 attendants in 2 job fairs and 5000 visitors on the web platform.

Project status

The project implementation team was set up and meetings between the beneficiaries took place.

The project team representatives participated in two press conferences, one in Calarasi and one in Silistra, where they answered questions and gave detailed information about the project focus, target groups and expected results. Press releases were also sent to the local press.

Information and publicity materials were endorsed.

The social researcher developed together with the other partners the methodology for the joint research study. The research was finalized.

The entrepreneurship and Sales courses were organized.

The graphic designer hired by the Lead Beneficiary started to develop the web platform, available at the following address:  Still, the platform is under implementation. The web platform is an informational, motivational & educational instrument meant to stimulate interest in lifelong learning & promote it, provide actual tools for up-skilling, serving as an accessible eLearning environment, free of geographical & timetable constraints. The platform will offer Bg & Ro language courses encouraging work mobility in the CBA and is providing resources for jobseekers, employers, policy-makers & educators.
